One of the most basic and fun actions to take in the neighborhood is a simple block party.  Several people posted flyers to the neighbors. They already have a history of block parties so people know what to expect.  Its a big dispersed party. These two streets in the River Road Neighborhood in Eugene have a comparatively high level of neighborly cohesion because they have made the effort to connect with each other.  This was a roving block party. Many people roamed up and down the street while others stayed put, creating temporary living rooms in front yards and driveways. There were many table set with cookies and produce.  A time to mix and mingle.
